Not just that, you'll also need it if you want to play online or use voice chat.

Believe it or not though, the Wii U also had paid subscription when it launched. But all that did was giving you points for any eshop purchase you made, it did not stop you from playing online.

While i normally hate petitions like these, i cannot do anything but agree. Pyrofish has over the course of being in this group, caused more shitstorms than anyone else combined.
