What he's saying is that consoles don't need internet at any point while PC games at the very least need to be downloaded (even when installing from a disk)

As been said by Panic and me, however, you still need to download patches for console games. I played The Last of Us without patches once.

I didn't even disagree, I just completely destroyed his uneducated opinion by pointing out that the Paladins decks deliberately copied Overwatch

it didn't copy overwatch. it was in development before overwatch was even announced, it was just overshadowed because there's a lot of class based shooters coming out this year

When it was in development it was a completely different game, the more of Overwatch they revealed the more it became like Overwatch, if you actually played the Paladins alpha and beta you would know this.
