Robo has lived out most of his childhood as a normal kid, with his parents and a relatively happy life. However, at the age of fifteen, his family was victim to the series of terrorist attacks that finally sparked military action against Elysian Unity, and forced many refugees out of the now irradiated area. Robo ended up sticking with the crew of "Unforgiving", which was called in from repairs and rearming on the "Halo" habitat, and mustered crew from their shore leave in mere minutes after the order got through, saving many by its timely arrival at the scene. He has lived, studied and trained onboard the warship until the age of 18, at which point he officially joined the military.

Robo's expertise in military equipment granted him access to a Mk. VII Corsa Warsuit straight after he finished the training course. He's become something of a legend on Alicia, his Warsuit painted in solid red, with a black skull spray painted on its shoulder pad for every enemy warsuit he downed. His personal revenge against the Elysians exercies in his one-on-one approach to warsuit combat, and his suit sacrificing all ranged weapons, save for a shoulder-mounted Bolter. Instead, he uses dual meelee weapons, a Pulse Blade and a Composite Blade.

In combat, Robo focuses solely on personally destroying the suit of and killing every enemy pilot who dares to cross his path. He does so with extreme proficiency, and without feeling remorse or guilt over the deaths he's causing, believing their final chance was gone the day they swore loyalty to Elysium. His mere presence often scares enemy pilots to death, and his CQC ability is unmatched. Despite ignoring all orders until he has defeated the enemy he's locked in meelee combat with, he does adhere to command protocol and is willing to withdraw even if not all of his enemies are dead yet, if only to get another chance at killing them one by one later.

It is said Robo hones his CQC skills against other Alliance pilots, and that he has great respect for those select few who have been on occasion able to defeat him in training fights - especially Krinkov and Nicoletta.
