Either New Vegas for Fallout 2 are good places to start. Fallout 2 has a very long, boring and hard tutorial but if you can get past that, then its golden. I heard Fallout 1 was good too, but I never got around to it.

I didn't hate Fallot 3 myself, but I enjoyed Fallout New Vegas a helluva lot more.

Also I thought Katara and Sokka were supposed to be teenagers, not like 27 years old or something.

I always got the impression that Katara was 12 or 13 and Sokka was 15. Haven't seen the show in ages though.
