Money making scheme or innocent but repetitive blunders?
At Aldi, there's been a lot of discrepancies between the price of the price tags and the price that the cash machine (or whatever the thing that scans and calculates the cost of items is called) accounts you for.

For example, green peppers are shown in the store as costing 69 cents (this is real, I didn't find an excuse to use that number. I'm not that desparate), but when you check out, you have to pay 89 cents. If you tell the cashier about that, he/she (with a bored look) picks up the walkie-talkie and says, "green peppers" and some other stuff. Then he/she changes the price in the machine and refunds the extra money.

So let me ask you what you think of this...is it some dirty way to get extra money from customers who don't pay attention, or just innocent mistakes?

Also, the green pepper thing has stayed like that for at least two weeks before getting changed, and it's not an isolated incident at that same shop.

It's just greedy. The price that's written should be what you'll be paying.

Seems like actual fraud to me. You should contact a fed, maybe the FTC.
