when you msg a friend via Steam when they're in game but they don't reply at all.

Sometimes I get messaged while playing games and don't notice 'cause the steam overlay isn't always working.

Maybe because the Steam overlay isn't working or because they're in the middle of a freakin' game.

But when you message them on you see them going online then in game then online and they don't respond at all?

He literally was online for a few hours after he left TF2,then went back playing tf.I even tried to message him

nah, only explanation i can come up with is that he either ignored you completely or just spent those few hours doing other, non-computer related things, then started tf2 to take a break
