The indie-game recommendation thread.
As the title says, please share lovely/quirky/unique/interesting/whatever indie games you like.

Why?
Because I feel like that's where the most unique and memorable games come from.

The one game that comes to my mind right now is To the Moon.
You should go play it - it's about 4 hours long and has a lovely and emotional story.
I got it from some random Humble Bundle a few years back, but it took me a long time before I played it - and the reason for why I started it was a bit werid:
It had one achievement, for completing the game, and I wanted to 100% more games, so I was looking around my library and found this game there.

It's is among the best games I've ever played.
Go play it now.

I'd recommend playing Limbo, despite the fact that I never finished it. It's a dark (like not just dark in genre but dark in color as well) indie game where you play as this kid who is looking for his sister and has to solve puzzles and avoid death.

Coffee Stain Studios, the guys that made Goat Simulator, actually made a very nice game called Sanctum. Check that one out.

I'm not really a fan of "Furry" stuff, but this game is good enough to try it anyways

I played the beginning of Limbo but wasn't sure what to do against that spider thingy or whatever it was and haven't touched it since then, I supposed I should give it a second try someday.

Oh man, I love Gunpoint, I got all achievements in 5-6 hours. RoR and Rogue Legacy are also really awesome games. Too bad that RoR is sort of broken. And RoR just got a 64-ish MB update... lol.. I might have a look at Long Live The Queen too, from your description it seems pretty nice. As a matter of fact, I think I may have seen the trailer at some point after it's release.

BBT is my personal GOTY of 2014, it's bloody awesome! Haven't played it in a long time though.

I never really got into Sanctum - I really liked the concept of it, but something about it didn't feel right. I've got some friends that absolutely love it though.

I've had Dust: An Elysian Tail lying about in my library for years, but haven't played it yet. I've heard good things about it though - definitely on my list of things I want to play at some point.

I was browsing around in my Steam Library and found a game which I need to recommend, because it's so silly and fun!

DLC Quest!

It's pretty much making fun of all DLC one needs for every damn game nowadays.

That's actually a really good indie game. Too bad it takes a lot of dedication to understand it.

Why the heck has nobody mentioned McPixel yet?

It's a must-play, and I've got it installed on just about every device I own that can run it.

Buy it while it's still on sale.
