I balanced the original equalizer.
The Equalizer
Level 10 Pickaxe

When weapon is active:
Damage and move speed increases as the user becomes injured

You are marked for death while active, and shortly after switching weapons
-90% less healing from Medic source
20% slower draw speed
40% slower holster speed

I'm down for this

It's not like a melee weapon like this is completely unbalanced. There are so many other stupid weapons in existence.

It's a good weapon, but it didn't have the right downsides at the time.
The devs fucked it up by trying to play the safe card, hoping that they don't have to do much.
Yes though, there are other awful weapons like the Enforcer. It shouldn't be in the game.

Idk about this. Currently the escape plan needs those stats really. Seems like the most overran soldier melee, I dare say op even. The whip is a great choice too but more so as a team weapon, solo soldiers on the other hand love the escape plan for quick retreats on low health with no rockets. Doesn't need it's attack power, but the escape plan could use the slower draw and holster speed.

90% of any soldier you'll be seeing on the enemy team or even on your team will be carrying this pickaxe, rip equalizer, rip half-zatoichi, just escape plan. I would like a nerf that makes soldiers realize their other melees. Or they can simply live with the nerfs. (hint hint degreaser pyros)

It would hurt the Escape Plan too much, to the point where if it did have the draw/holster penalties, then it would need to be merged back with the Equalizer. It's the only way to actually fix these two weapons.
