I don't know why I even like this game
No, not tf2. It's another game that's been close to me called Graal Online. One of the first games I've ever played back in late 2005. The game went online back in 1998 for PC and 2009 for IOS. It was one of those games that never became popular. Imo, a hidden gem.

As years went by, the player base has diminished from 40 to 10-0 players, the owners stopped giving a ♥♥♥♥ about his server (to the point where players have to ddos servers in order to get him online), and literally all of the content from this game comes from volunteers who spend their free time doing dev/gfx work out of love for the game.

I guess the appeal to the game is the character customization and the strong bond the community has.

My free diary subscription ran out so I didn't know where to post it...

Is anyone else in this sort of position? Where their favorite game is boardline dead.

Sounds similar to what someone described on discord.

Nope, all my favorite games are well and truly alive, also, a main playerbase of 40 to begin with is what most consider dead.

Sounds like Grand Chase to me.
KOG games completely killed it off a year ago.
There are around 3 private/community servers up, two for both PVP/PVE and one only PVP based.
There are probably around a thousand or so playing the game, quite a small communtiy.
I love the game to absolute death, but at the same time I hate it due it's flaws.

That was the game I was referring to in discord.

The game peaked up to 200 once. Those were the Golden days.
Nope. I'm always an outsider, latching onto anything BIG enough to grab my attention.

That looks exactly like Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
Funny enough, it was originally named Zelda online until Nintendo sued them.

Take any old arena shooter FPS, like Unreal Tournament and Quake. Great games that have sadly but understandably lost a lot of players.

Or take Overwatch, where the devs don't share the amount of active players.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Exactly! Meet Your Match literally screwed up the game!
But no, the war was actually okay, because it provides incentive.
