How do I become a better person?
First of all, thank you for Invitation. But this is not what I want to talk about. I am here to ask you people, How do I become a better person? I ask this because I have done some bad things in the forums. I promised myself to stop but I dont know if I can keep to my promise. I have a problem convincing and motivating myself to do something better. So I ask you how can I improve?

Be helpful, not harmful.

You don't
Just hide all the bad things in your head until they eventually
a) Go away
b) Make you go postal

I want to be, but a part of me doesn't want to comply.

Put others before yourself.

Thats a method I didn't think of before.

Don't bother with most of the advice these people try and offer you. Some will be helpful, but obvious.

Like this. But most of it will be very obvious or have no use. Give me more context, what did you do?

Generally I am unfriendly to new players. Which bothers me because I want to be seen in a positive light.

Constructive criticism should help regarding newbies

A great first step is to remove swearing, and ensure that the content you're trying to talk about towards a new player helps them learn about whatever franchise you're talking about. In essence, be mature and informative.

I suppose it also helps to be tolerant to people new to games and franchises. If you feel that you may be a bit salty towards what someone is saying, perhaps the best thing would be not to type it out.

I tend to do that too. For me it's just so frustrating watching them fuck up not knowing what to do. It's obvious and can be a little tricky and won't work right away. But before you say anything to them, you have to think about it. It can be hard in the heat of the moment, but you think of what you have to say is of any value besides allowing you to get something out. Because that person will probably not improve. You wanna reword what you're saying in a light where it's actual advice and not an insult. If you can of course. You have to remind yourself if you just insult and refuse to help them you only annoy yourself as they play poorly and they don't improve. If you keep giving them advice they tend to improve bit by bit and that calms me seeing them actually try to improve and play better. That tends to work for me. If they refuse to listen simply mute them and move on. It not only helps you treat them better, you tend to overall become a more tolerant person.

Well, thanks a lot everyone. I think this is enough advice and I will take all into consideration.
