"White privilege" for example is not debated, it's taught as a an indisputable fact.
Dogmatic thinking always ends up in conflict because it doesn't allow criticism of any kind.
I don't think these "regressive left" are really leftists, they are a very ridiculous and kinda paradoxical thing, they are secular religious fanatics.
They have dogmas and sacred concepts which can't be challenged. They act as a cult.
And tagging anything as hate speech is basically censorship. Same goes for trolling.
If you are right you can argue with logic and evidence. Instead of forcefully silencing the other.
I agree with you OP if you can't argue the most difficult topics they you shouldn't argue at all.
