After seeing that I've been nominated (among others) for moderator candidacy, I've taken time to make a new thread that aims as a response to all of the questions.
If I had to pick three other people who are also nominated, then it would be these three.
Galaxy, Darkanine, and Sir Illic.
Best of luck to those candidates.
  • How experienced are you? Any experience as a moderator/admin from other forum groups/groups and what you did there? None is fine as everyone needs a place to start, but if you do, please tell us of your past experiences.
As a forum regular in general, I'm well-acquainted with most of the community.
It also means that I've been in plenty of different Steam groups with different people.
In a lot of those groups, I've been given plenty of opportunities to diffuse problems.
My administrative experiences span as far back into a couple of years ago, beginning with an old (and deleted) trading server; which goes pretty far back a few years, since I'd say that the server died in around the year 2013. IDK if people know, but here.
"CRAB NICHOLSON'S EXTREME TRADING SERVER".
I've vetted that server for a long time, and been a mod until its death.
Moving onto my admin experience in forum groups, I'd like to cite some several cases.
Although I'd like to begin with saying that I've been in some notable groups that I've diffused some drama inside of.
These include the RH, SUGP, WN, TeoTF2, etc etc and perhaps even this group.
Anyways, one of the groups I was an admin for was called "Sunshine Hive".
Back in there, I was pretty much the only admin who was really on that group.
It was easy reaping by moving some threads into a "controversial sub-forum", as I've also known the other people in that group.
The group didn't last long since it was deleted by the owner, because reasons.
PM me if you really want to know more about that.
As with other groups, I've been an admin once for Forum Filth, and a mod later on.
While I did do a good job the 1st time around, there's a bit of a funny story as to how I lost my admin from that group. If you didn't know before, I'll give you a good story for it.
My administrative experience there can be summarized as "highly conscientious" and "highly disregarding of the superior" since, the owner of the group at that time couldn't even follow his own set of rules without having unwritten them himself.
My moderator experience from then was short and sweet, because I actually stepped down later on, albeit there was a petition made by the current group owner to mod me.

  • What will you do as a moderator?
Such as all other moderators should, I'll keep up with enforcing the rules.
One of the very first things I'll do as a moderator is review the reports, and see for myself on how the other staffers have handled these various reports.
This allows me to acquaint myself further with the admins, and the group itself.
Likewise, I'll also see to it with making consensus-based decisions with staffers.
Otherwise, I don't have to necessarily depend on the rally of others; with my given experience and insight on the way that matters should be dealt with.
Most importantly, I will make fun of people who like Dark Souls 3.
Namely for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ inside of a sub-forum, I'll go ahead and post in the thread myself.
Rather than handing out a big fat warning, I'll go ahead and participate normally while being on-topic of the thread; and later seeing how responses are.
It allows me to test the waters and see how it goes, to determine whether or not a thread is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thread; and not in its correct sub-forum.
This helps determining whether it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thread.
If it's not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thread, then I'll leave it alone in its sub.
This style would pretty much be the same if a thread was being derailed, to determine if other users are willing to get back on-topic or if a course of action should occur.

  • How do you know when to take an action or not?
It's determined with a review of the rules & guidelines, or co-opted with other mods.
If there's something I'm not equipped to deal with, I'll have others involved.
I'm pretty short and sweet on this

  • What do you feel that FRC needs that would need you as a mod to help fulfill? What are the bad things about FRC that you feel needs to change?
While I'm highly adaptive, I would like to emphasize on communication.
It's important to have involvement and cooperation among our staffers.
I'd like to recall back to my petition for having a controversial sub-forum.
It can allow us to redirect threads that have been derailed, or in flames.

  • Why do you want to be a moderator?
Well, I'd like to be given an opportunity to exercise moderative abilities in a formal way.
For once, I want to be able to return the favor with my experience as a mod.
I'm also interested in being much more well-acquainted with members of the FRC, especially considering that I could help catch up to other people that I've known before.
I also think that with me as a mod, we could have bettered relations with other groups.
Namely with the group Forum Filth, since I've even known people there from way before that group was made as well; it'll benefit the relationship based on association.

  • What goals do you wish to fulfill on your part as a moderator? Be it making the place drama free, having events/announcements popping up, making activity more exciting or proposing new things to change the group with?
I'd like to make sure that things are alright within the group, but I wouldn't only base priorities on simply moderating the group. I would expand on my position by introducing concepts and ideas for the group; both for the staffers and for the group itself.
One of the things that I'm keen about is posting announcements for game updates.
Announcements for games like TF2, CS:GO and other well-known titles are attractive; and would benefit the group itself greatly, because it's based on Steam.

  • What do you want to change in FRC, or prevent from happening in FRC?
One thing I'd primarily like to do with the group itself, is suggest a cutting down of the sub-forums by either merging subs together, or getting rid of them.
By simplifying the group, it automatically becomes much more appealing.
This also makes the jobs for staffers much, much easier.
There's only two sub-forums in my mind right now.
The Artworks Forum, and the Trading Forum.
Artwork threads from its sub would be personally moved by me, into the General sub.
However, the Trading sub should end up getting deleted since it's pretty dead.
Nobody really actively uses it, and it has the least amount of content.
This should all of course, be determined by who'd want this; between Staffers & Users.

  • What benefits would you bring to the group?
I'd insist on having people to add me themselves if they feel like there's a big problem.
Making things personal with at least me, would give you the chance to capitalize on issues that you're dealing with inside of the group; be it with another user or other.
If people feel like I'm doing something wrong myself, I'd go ahead and make sure that I'll make a thoroughly well-read review of the critique; and see how valid it can be.

  • Why do you think you we should make you a moderator?
I'm an active user with experience in diffusing drama, and I've got good relations.

  • What kind of personality should a moderator have, and do you think you have it?
I'm going to be a bit of an oddball on this subject, but I personally think it's good to have a variety in background and personality of moderators; especially considering that having a variety of opinions from different people can develop a fulfilling compromise,

  • What will be your moderating style, and what will your behaviour be as a moderator of FRC
Initially passive, and perhaps involving other mods later on if things don't go right.

  • What are your approaches to a flamewar taking place, potentially going to take place, or has already happened?
Make myself well acquainted with whomever is in a flamewar, and with the situation.
Warn the involved parties to take private quarrels into private chat, and take action alongside other mods and admins against those that end up on ignoring the warning.

There hasn't been any new threads in the Moderator sub-forum, and the threads that Evoxrus himself looked at haven't been moved either.
It's also good for archival purposes, since that's what seems to have been agreed on.

We're turning this into wannabe politics lmao.
But I'm neutral, as always.

I'm not exactly sure why, but OK.
If you think that I've got ultra-pro bias for forum filth, you really got it wrong.
One of my ideas in mind would've perfectly resolved your case from then.
Regarding your one thread from then, I didn't support how FF handled it.

I have nothing against you personally.

I remember your suggestion about the controversial subforum righ?

I do dislike FF after my inappropriate ban and the abuse they shell out for voicing like, opinions, man.

If their past behaviour is anything to go by, then we should distance ourselves as much as possible with them, imho.
