So, let's talk about music.
Seriously, I didn't understand the animals' song of Maroon 5 till' I read the lyrics, then I saw the video, and it's really disturbing, man I felt like that guy was a psycho or somethin', and it's really disgusting how he use the animals and the word itself in the video just to refer to sex at the end of the day.

However, all we see know are ♥♥♥♥ pop-stars, rappers, etc... Incluiding everything related to sex in their songs, and well that's really disgusting from my point of view.

In South America and Spain, there's a genre called Reggaeton and all that you can hear in those songs is sex, sex and more sex, drugs and alcohol, it's really disturbing to me, and there's a lot of people who like that crap.

The thing that I want to leave clear is that every single song is related to freaking sex, it's all topic in a song now, there are a few bands like Linkin Park or Fall Out Boy who makes song without including that topic, but the number of bands who don't include it is so low, unless we're talking about Heavy Metal (but even some of them include the topic).

TL;DR: The music industry is ♥♥♥♥.

...You're JUST NOW realizing this?
This is why I like power metal, I've only heard one "sex" song from that genre and it was more of a joke song.
Eh.

I care less about the content when I listen. It sounds good.

Of course, that doesn't mean I think these songs are actually good, deep, emotionally artworks. Far from it.

They just sound good.

And?

Everything has been said and done before, so it's no surprise that 'sex' is a very tiring song topic.

This has been a trend since nirvana was big. Don't act like 89s and 90s rock bands and hip hop were perfect

Heres a good example

Actually, this trend has always been music. What are you talking about?

How I interpreted his little rant about how songs about sex were fucking over the music industry was how he thought past bands were perfect. So I decided to show him example of a song with a sexual undertone in it. I may have been wrong on were the trend started (I forgot butcher peat was a song). On to the topic at hand, whats fucking over the Music industry isn't songs about sex, its dry talentless leeches who require auto tune and write the most 1 dimensional straight forward songs in existence rather then creating something like "Say it ain't so" they end up creating generic love song #501. That is what is fucking over the Music industry (more or less pop music as a whole)

Old news. It's been this way since someone figured they could scandalize someone by having sex in their music.

Just go around listening to more underground stuff. Isn't much of a way to go around that.
That's why you listen to synthwave. Or, even better, VGM.
