Personally, I'd get OW.

Although the games seem different enough that you can't really compare them.

Well, I've heard a few complaints concerning the latter regarding certain issues. Of course, there are certain issues present in Overwatch as well. But in my mind, you may purchase the former, if you'd like.

I would ask of you to buy Overwatch instead of BF1. If I am correct, BF1 cost 60 dollars while Overwatch cost 40 dollars at minimum. You'll save 20 dollars. Also, note that BF1 is developed and published by EA. And as you know, EA doesn't have a very good reputation. In Overwatch, there are seasonal updates and additional content. I very much doubt that BF1 would have free extra content.

Overwatch, better start building skill now, Battlefield will always be gained later but you earn the same thing, get Overwatch now and start building early.
