Yup, you read it right.

Titanfall 2, by Respawn Entertainment, won't have a season pass, and all post-launch maps and content will be free.

I loved the first Titanfall but unfortunately, it didn't have a good life span. And though there is a low multiplayer population, it's divided by DLC so this was an awesome move by Respawn.

I haven't played the beta, but from what I heard they did improve from it. Stuff like making the gameplay more fast-paced (Faster pilot speed for instance), and also bringing back attrition

This could be very good, or very bad.

Halo 5 had the same Schtick, but there was a caveat. A lot of the content expected to come with the game on launch day wasn't there (mainstay game modes, map editor, in depth post-game stats screen), and there wasn't alot of content like maps and game modes until much later. So Watch out for that.
