Scenario: Steam makes a game/DLC trade-in system
You can trade in some of your old Steam games/DLC in return for Steam funds a bit less than what they're selling for

If you got the game on a sale, it won't matter
You can trade in games for a fraction of the full price

btw valve could pay for the trade-ins

borrowed from ff lol

That makes 0 sense why would steam trade games back they arent getting somehting.Retool your hypothetical to be between pepople for cash with steam takeing a cut(not that that dosent have massive problems).

Heck that dosent make sense either as they can make "infinte" product or parcticly so.

There has to be a demand for somone to want an item...

It wouldn't be good for Valve at all, theoretically it would cost them money. Cheaters would resell games after getting banned just to help towards buying another copy of the game on a different profile, and there'd be more reasons to steal accounts, especially those with many many games. Idiots would go on how they sold their game and lost money because brain-dead people and steam seem to mix heavily.

I don't know, as mentioend this just sounds like it'd make it easier for cheaters.
