There is nothing wrong with making your audience hate the antagonist. Just some thoughts anyway.
If you make them overpowered then it will look like your just pulling things out of your ass to make him look cool which makes it boring and frustrating.
On top of that, with a villain with those kind of powers, you'll have to come up with some stupid, deus ex machina excuse for his defeat
