Hardest thing in a game you have gotten close to beating?
For me that you would be Kirby's return to dreamland's The True Arena. Basically what it is is boss rush, but with all the EX enemies, so that means you're fighting boss's that take less damage, do more damage and have more attacks. I got to Spoiler: Magolor Soul Before my utter demise, good thing they have a lobby where you can heal up with M tomatoes (but they're limited)

I almost finished HACKNET

BUT THEN THE GAME GOT CORRUPTED AND WOULDN'T LAUNCH

as if it the game doesn't want to be finished

The boss in the Nier demo on Very Hard. What really gets me isn't the boss itself, rather it's the fact that I die in one hit.

Pretty much any extra boss on Touhou games. I haven't played those since I was a kid but looking back they were te only game I wasn't capable of finishing besides Cave Story's Hell on hard mode.

The bottle quest in Ocarina of Time. The first 3 bottles are a piece of cake for me to obtain, but the 4th one, that one that requires to capture all 10 big poes, is a major pain in the ass. In fact, i think i actually beat it once, but that's it. It's frustrating because the poes often only appear when you approach certain locations from a very specific angle. And defeatign them isn't easy.

Often when i attempt it, i can end up with 9 poes captured, and have an impossible tiem getting the last one.

Wasteland 2, Supreme Jerk Run, Whittier. Whittier is bullshit. You start out of cover with a bunch of COTC synth lobbers targeting you immediately with energy grenades. Along with a sniper droid spamming help on you and mini gun user trying to flank you while a bunch a rifle users shoot you in the back.

Crash bandicoot twinsanity and the monster thing.
8 hours non-stop from the beginning just so i can go to the boss level for twinsanity. then mom turned it off, i couldn't save it sadly.
10 hours non-stop, almost defeated the boss then it crashed because of overflow.
