Sounds like you haven't been restarting steam every time there is a steam client update. I recommend letting steam update itself and then see if this GDI issue still exists.
I do get your point though, memory object leaks of any kind (GDI objects too) are probably going to be someone's problem, especially if you let steam collect so many (30 days? yikes!).

I heard Paranoia might even cause an unexpected steam vac ban if its not handled right (when you change back to HL1 there is a setting... or else). But thats also assuming legit HL1. Fix that problem first and then talk to the Paranoia team if you still have an issue.

Thanks for the reply but I'm more looking for how to get OpposingForce(gearbox folder somewhere) on the pull-down list on the dedicated server dialog box... and have it work.

No way am I going to mess about with all that command line nonsense as Steam is supposed to hide the complexity of making sure all the installs are where they need to be and that they all work without fussing about in DOS and config files. It just shouldn't be neccessary.

Also that hlds update tool doesn't seem to be anywhere in any of my steam folders. (And I just now installed DS and OpposingForce).

Pre-steam this game was both a single and multiplayer mod on top of half-life and I could get both working. Ever since steam though (and it became its own game folder) The Dedicated Server tool doesn't list Opposing Force. How may I get this added back onto the list?
Also when running a normal multiplayer (listen server) my gameserver never was listed for other people to join. Beyond that, directly telling the IP address refused to connect.

There are a few people who have been wanting to play it online(for nostalga sake), but none of us could figure it out.

Change the font style. Perhaps bold the name? Some people don't notice color.
Also sort the user list by admin/moderator/member/guest I mean you already have two collapsable lists maybe make one more for admin/moderator. Then you can't fake it by changing your user names and using stars.

Doesn't seem to be a way to thumbs down a friend's purchase. Only the Thumbs Up button is presented. Also is there a way to un-thumb any previously thumbed item? Also where can I do a search for my thumb-ratings? I want to see where I've been, perhaps to correct them.
