Check the system requirements. Also find the Hoard forum and post your quesiton there. Perhaps you don't have the most recent DirectX or .NET library installed. If you were to browse to the game folder you can try running the directx installer there (and any others you find). That should have happened the first time you started the game anyway, maybe it didn't complete.

Additionally your video card might not have enough memory or features, etc. Look at the main steam window's help menu and pick "System Information" if you need help getting some idea what hardware you have. Then compare the results to the System requirements for Hoard.

From this discussion it seems you have the same account logged in at two different computers.
While logged in (and predictibly kicked the other computer off) pick change user from the steam menu in the main window and then make sure you enter the right info manually. Do this for both machines.
The logged in user's steamID name is in the top right of the main steam window. It will also show "logging into xxxx's account" when you start steam up.

Thanks I was wondering how that worked. I only saw an empty list in-game. Can all of those steps be automated from in-game please? Including uninstalling/disabling? Would save lots of time.
Until then, I guess I'll stick with the manual process (grumble).

I had this same problem with my old monitor back when I played Halo1PC. Apparently one of the mini circuit boards failed so it would intermittently do this, or pan the screen to somewhere off-screen, sometimes with the image wrapping back on the other side.
I say try another game and see if it still happens. And if you do have another monitor try switching it out and play Amnesia again.
If you have a laptop you're kind of out of luck on that unless driver updates can fix it.

In the room where you get the jar (Just after the elevators and in the following catacombs) I was investigating a corner of the room where some barrels were sitting(and hiding from the monsters). I was throwing them about and jumped into the corner. I think it was the still rebounding barrel that hit me and suddenly I was falling for about a minute. I could see other parts of the map dissapearing above me as I looked up. Fortunately the game revived me near this point after I died. I was wondering how long the fall was going to be.

Anyway just thought I'd mention it.

I heard you need to get an actual business license or they arrest you and bust up your cardboard store. Also there is no printed dietary card for the lemonade so it can't be sold. Gotta love lawyers.
