On the second computer make sure the files are in the right spot. Then log in using an account that owns the game(either through purchase or it was gifted to you). Then steam itself will check the game for updates, etc and let you play it. (Steam will probably kick you off the first computer the moment you log in on the second one). Anyway that should be relatively quick and would show up on your games library list, ready to play, no issues.

If you're trying to avoid a purchase just spend your money now or risk steam thinking you're cheating.

into the console it should be something like +attack
but in case you can't set it, try clicking the Reset controls (or whatever its called) somewhere on the options screens.
type it again to find out what the default value is
next time if it messes up again just type that at the console
bind mouse1 "+attack"
(or whatever the default is)

From your question you were probably tricked into running unbindall and you'll have to reset your options anyway.

Perhaps it can't update the log on your hard drive of what updates it has completed(assuming it actuall completes and doesn't crash). Try using the Windows folder security settings and take ownership of the enitre steam folder. Then after suffering through just one more update (and I'm hoping this works out for you) it shouldn't ask again about that old update. DO expect new ones though.

Set the preferences to Friends Only as you create the server. Once you have everyone you need (in the lobby) you can flip the setting to allow everyone. Its also nice if friends stick around for the whole game so their spot doesn't get taken.
Beyond that, you can resort to the kickvote once the game starts.

As far as I recall the steam version of Skyrim doesn't provide you with a creation kit. (I think you might be able to download it on B's site).
As for previous Elder Scrolls games, the non-steam creation kit will have issues with the steam version and there isn't a steam version creation kit.
But if you have all the non-steam disks (Morrowind, Oblivion) then copy your save games over andhave at it (and uninstall the steam version). You only miss out on achievements....if they ever decide to add them.

There are lots of decent free-to-play games, but that won't allow you to add friends. Spend some of that money perhaps buying the cheapest TF2 item and you'll also become a Premium TF2 account in one step. Of course any actual purchase will then allow you to do all those fancy things like adding friends.

In the more recent NVIDIA drivers there's a checkbox for clean uninstalling the video driver and all settings so that anything you see afterwards is only from this new driver(Can't blame an upgrade install if you still have problems). Its completely hands off and usually works.

But what I gather is that the game is still running (check Window's TaskManager) and any attempt to update directX when a directX game is running will be thwarted. A reboot may be needed just in case you can't end-task for some reason.

Even when it first became an achievement there were delays in steam recognizing that you had done so through the steam client. It still baffles me that they never corrected it. Rest assured you will get that achievement. Probably in a day or two (don't pull the video down just in case).
If you still don't get the achievement then write a support ticket.
Since you wrote this on Nov 13 and its now the 21st, you should have it by now... unless you took your video down.

If someone mentions deleting System32 kill them.
I don't know of any game that requires you to delete a file in order to play.
