A VAC ban older than 5 years is automatically hidden from other users; it's only visible when logging into the account.

Furthermore, the age of the VAC ban itself proves that cheating was definitely detected.

I can't imagine buying an account without either first checking if it's banned, or checking if the ban can be removed or not before buying it. I imagine I'd feel quite stupid if I did so.
