Read the message you got carefully, just because it mentions VAC somewhere doesn't make it a ban.

Furthermore, if you got a cooldown, it's just that, temporary, wait it out.

Please educate yourself on the difference between a ban and a cooldown...

Its a cooldown not a vac ban.
I got a 20 hour ban, it isnt a vac ban but i cant play faceit, i tried joining a faceit server yet it say "Player has competitive matchmaking cooldown", is there anything i can do to play a faceit tournament atleast, not offical matches, i know that Faceit and steam isnt directly connected but the tournament is important and i cant play on my account as it is now

You need to be patient and wait out the cooldown.

So she should just wait out and not play the tournament, even if she didnt cheat and the ban does not have anything to do with faceit?

Man, we explained that if you get a cooldown, nobody can do something about it, this is a user froum.

Cooldowns are neither removed or reduced.

If you want to play FaceIT rn, you need a new account or you skip the tournament and play later.

Steam has no knowing of how FaceIT does business, they probably don't care as it's third-party.

so my teammate gets unfairly banned on stream because of spam reports and i get aswell and they cant do anything about it? how that make sense

You can post here all you want, nothing you post here has any effect on your cooldown, go with it and move on. Nothing you can do about it.

A cooldown is issued for frequently leaving matches, toxic behavior or insults, team-killing or intentional sabotage, and it serves as a temporary punishment and warning, if the negative behavior continues it can lead to a permanent game ban on your account.

FaceIT has their own rules, so has it been for Steam.

FaceIT probably requires your account to be in good standing in order to play tournaments. Nothing you can do, really.

If anything, ask FaceIT support how to proceed.
