Why are game bans issued?
Game bans in Counter-Strike 2 are issued when a player attempts to circumvent or interfere with game systems to the detriment of others.
Examples include:
Cheating.
Manipulation of matchmaking rank by deranking or falsely increasing your Skill Group or Counter-Strike Rating.
Botting and/or automation.
Intentionally interfering with the normal operation of game servers or other players.
Game Bans for all of the above are not removed by Steam Support.
Can you tell me why I was game banned?
No. We do not disclose the reason for your game ban.
Whether you were using cheat software, automating matchmaking, or abusing matchmaking the reason a game ban was issued is not shared with users.
Can I appeal my game ban?
No. Game bans cannot be appealed and are not removed from accounts.
I was not using my account when it was game banned. Can the ban be removed?
No. Regardless of who was using the account at the time the ban was issued, game bans are permanent and are not removed.
Can I move my Counter-Strike 2 items to a different account?
No. Counter-Strike 2 items cannot be moved from a game banned account to a different account.
Can I upload content to the Counter-Strike 2 Workshop and Community with a Counter-Strike 2 game ban?
No. You cannot upload new content, such as guides, artwork, or Workshop items to the Counter-Strike 2 Community if you have been game banned.
Can I vote on Counter-Strike 2 Steam Workshop content with a Counter-Strike 2 game ban?
No. Counter-Strike 2 game bans prevent voting within the Counter-Strike 2 Workshop.
Greetings. I am the owner of the Steam account znyms131390, with the associated email address 919512282@qq.com. On October 3rd, 2025, at 11:20 AM, I discovered that my account had been banned by the VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) system, preventing me from logging into CS2 normally. I am hereby submitting this appeal to request a review of the ban.
Throughout my use of this account, I have always adhered to the principles of fair play. I have never used any cheats, hacking software, or tools to modify game files. The account has been used exclusively by myself; I have not shared it with others nor authorized any third party to log in.
Regarding my account activity prior to the ban: my last normal gameplay session occurred around 11:15 PM on October 2nd, 2025, in the Perfect World Ladder Match game mode.
To prove that my account usage has been compliant, I have prepared relevant supporting materials, including: a screenshot of the VAC ban notification email, Steam's recent login IP records (with my regular login locations clearly marked), video recordings of my recent legitimate gameplay sessions, and purchase receipts for in-game items. These materials are available upon request for your verification.
I fully understand the importance of the VAC system in maintaining a fair gaming environment and respect its detection mechanisms. However, this ban was entirely unexpected and has caused significant disruption to my gaming experience. This account not only contains in-game items I have accumulated over a long time but also holds numerous gaming memories. The ban has been quite distressing for me.
I earnestly request your team to re-examine my account data and the VAC ban record. If the ban resulted from a false positive in the system detection or data fluctuations, I hope it can be lifted. I promise to pay greater attention to account security in the future, regularly check my device environment, and strictly abide by all Steam platform and CS2 rules.
Thank you for your time and patience in handling this matter. I look forward to your response.
