Question about boosting Steam trading cards

I asked about this on my Russian-language forum, but the responses were inappropriate and toxic. Could my account be blocked if I used cheating for literally two minutes and for legitimate purposes? I didn't know it was prohibited because people were confusing me online and saying they'd either not ban me or not. I literally received about 10 cards and wrote to support. My account seems clean; I've never used cheats or anything like that and I'm very worried about the security of my account.
Corrections. 4 hours have passed since the cheating.

This has nothing to do with VAC or this forum.

there are programs that you can use to idle games to get the card drops. there is a difference between prohibited and not supported. using such programs is not prohibited, but it is also not supported.

much like using SAM to unlock achievements. its not prohibited, but it is also not supported.

maybe think about what words you use. using the word Cheat or cheating will get a negative response. game idling programs are not cheats, people may not like you using them, but that does not change the fact that they are not cheat programs.

If you are connecting to VAC secured server while cheat is running you might end up with a ban even if its a singleplayer game/gamemode

maybe you should be more clear about what your doing. your thread title makes it sound like your trying to get cards to drop. if your using programs that tamper with game files, that can result in a game or VAC BAN. bans are not instant, they can be delayed by hours, days, weeks.

if you were cheating in a game, there is no legitamate reason, nor will any anti cheat system care what the reason is.

Sorry, the translator was slow and used the word "cheats" instead "boost" I used the website and not the software for boost

Okay, I really hope so. But I didn't use any cheats. As I already said, Google Translate replaced the word "boost" with "cheats."

then you should be ok as far as steam is concerned. just remember, all 3rd party sites and programs are USE AT OWN RISK. anything happens (account stolen or log in compromised and someone else gains access), support will not returned lost items or money, and any bans earned may be permanent. the ban policy on steam is simple - It does not matter who was in control of the account.
