Is there anybody even working on the mobile apps any more?
Don't get me wrong, it's nice that we even have an app, but there haven't been any updates since it left beta (over six months ago). There are still bugs in the iOS version and the Android version still has the terrible almost-an-iOS-clone-but-somehow-worse look.

It seems that with the new Steam Community, Greenlight and as-yet-unreleased Big Picture Mode flying around you may have bitten off more than you can chew. Perhaps you should hire some dedicated mobile developers; the community would greatly appreciate it.

Just to point out, the iOS version of the app isn't anything too special either.

the iOS version is a JOKE. That's all there is to it; it feels like it's still in beta phase. Slow, crashing, some parts not being accessed, conversations just "dissappear" when you minimize the app and get it up again etc.

What a load of donkey poo! : (

The iOS version still is in beta phase, because it's the same build as beta. They promised an update, but 6 months later there's been nothing to show for it.

I've been using the mobile client lately to chat with friends while I'm around town. It's fine but it's missing a lot of cool features. I hope they assing a dedicated dev team to it soon.

I dont know if it's true but I heard from several sources that Apple rejected the iOS update because you can buy MAC games on it.

You could do that with the original build anyway, and I haven't heard anything like that. Source(s)?

Yup (on iOS) slow as hell, loades forever (even with an 1.6mb wlan connection) features are only half implemented and the push service for messages is totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP . And when i want to buy something please give me a paypal site for mobile devices or connect it to the paypal app.

I use a Blackberry Torch 9810, and the lack of Blackberry OS support is a bit unappealing. When I first heard about the mobile platform I was estatic, I knew that Valve wouldn't pull any punches when it came to good software design.

Or even support for Playbook would be nice, it's Android software enabled, it can't be that hard to bring it to BB.

I'm really disappointed in the mobile app and the utter lack of updates to it. It seems the new beta community features broke some aspects of the mobile app even. I used to be able to do remote installs of games I owned via the mobile app but since the new beta community update I can't bring up my list of games to do that anymore.

Of course it also goes without saying that it would be nice if they could add the new community features to it such as the updates group layout with discussions and being able to rate Greenlight games on the go etc.

The mobile app is a great idea but it needs a TON of work. If Valve doesn't pick it up then hopefully some unofficial apps will.

I got the iOS version too, and kinda never use the mobile app because its so bugged. Everytime i get a push-notification from the app and want to check out the message, i dont have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue from which person i got it from, cause it doesn't display it to me ¬.¬

Wow...I was really disappointed when I found out that I couldn't install the Mobile App due to my iPhone being too old. Now I don't feel so bad, knowing that it sucks anyway.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
