Scan the Steam QR code again
When I scan the QR code with my camera app to login, it prompts me this: "For security purposes please scan the Steam QR code again". I don't trust the Steam app and don't want to give it the camera permission. Can you remove this requirement to scan the code again? Or at least explain what are the security purposes exactly here?

How exactly does it protect against scammers?

In-app scan -> Nobody can interfere with that
Third-party app scan -> Open for scams and other things

It's really that easy. If you don't want the required permissions to scan the code, you are out of luck.

"You cannot use a third-party authenticator app to scan the QR code for Steam Guard; the QR code login feature requires the official Steam Mobile App. The official app is specifically designed to scan the QR code displayed on the Steam sign-in screen or Steam client to quickly and securely log you into your account. While third-party apps exist for generating time-based one-time password (TOTP) codes, they are not compatible with Steam's QR code login functionality."
