Exactly the same problem. Can’t even find the option to turn camera access in iOS steam settings.

Same here, just tried it on my iPhone. Came here looking for possible solutions because the iOS camera app doesn't even seem to register under the app permissions of Steam Mobile, so none of the usual goto solutions can even work. There's zero you can do on the users' side in cases like this other than waiting for an app update I guess.
Valve, Just fix it
iOS 18.1.1
Steam Mobile App Ver 3.10.5
HAHHAHAHA
What a joke
Steam Support does not care about this issue

:
Thank you for the reply.

Steam mobile uses the mobile operating system's standard calls to access the device's camera. If Steam Mobile is set up as an authenticator but is not displaying the QR Code scanning option, it means that the app's access to the device's camera is being blocked by the device's permissions settings, or another setting or feature interfering with Steam Mobile's operation.

Please check your device's permissions and if you're unable to find and fix the issue that is preventing Steam's access to the device's camera, it's typically best to consult with a local mobile phone expert for further troubleshooting.

Because we have provided all the information we have for your issue I'm closing this help request. If you have an unrelated issue please open a new help request and we will be happy to help.
I checked permissions settings
I tried reinstall, cache clear, everything

Right, because clearly this requires the wisdom of a local mobile phone expert:steammocking:

I have my Android set to "Always ask" for permission on every app that wants to use my camera.
The app does not request permission to use the camera, therefore I can't allow it!

I know I can permanently allow the app to use the camera via Android Settings, but I don't want to allow any app to have full control of my camera for the sake of security. This is why I choose "Always ask." I don't like this change to the Steam Mobile app; I will not adopt this security risk.

Back to using a password, I guess? (It's been so long, I had to change my password because I forgot it!) A password is tedious, but far better than allowing an app to have full control of my camera!

This is a very disappointing update.
Same here. Was working last week.
Noticed there is a page that suggests getting into the beta to be able to use the camera, but that is full.

Verified that my camera is enabled in the Settings => Steam.
If I go into my profile and use the camera to take a photo for the avatar, the camera does work.

iOS 18.6.2
