PC freezes when opening steam overlay
It happened 2 times this week that sometimes when I open steam overlay ingame, my screen/PC immediately freezes. I can still hear people on discord etc, but after 15-20 seconds my screen goes black, I can still hear people, but I have to shut my PC down entirely.

This happened both in CS2 and Once Human. Just got back to the normal steam (was in the beta). Im not using the last nvidia drivers, just the last one and it working perfectly fine. Someone else having this issue or knows how to fix it?

Have you tried without being connected to Discord?

Like, having discord closed? I don't use it's overlay or anything like that tho

I have the same error, for now the only solution seems to be to disable the overlay.

I had the same problem multiple times. I may have found a fix. At least i tried to reproduce the problem again but I couldn't also limited testing in cs2.

I went to Steam Settings -> Interface -> DISABLED "Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views (requires restart)" AND "Enable smooth scrolling in web views (requires restart)"

And how is it now? Did the problem come back or that worked?
