bject: Appeal Regarding VAC Ban

Dear Steam Support Team,

I am writing to respectfully request a review of the VAC ban recently applied to my account. I was shocked to discover that a permanent VAC ban had been placed on my profile, as I have never used any third-party software, modifications, or any kind of prohibited tools that would compromise the integrity of the game. For me, Steam games are a way to relax and to engage in fair competition with other players.

I fully understand and support the purpose of the VAC system — to ensure fairness and equal conditions for all users. That is why I take this situation very seriously and am deeply concerned about being accused of violating the rules. I have always tried to follow all community guidelines and the Steam Subscriber Agreement. It is possible that some error or system malfunction led to this sanction being applied to my account.

I kindly ask you to thoroughly review the data associated with my profile and game history. I am ready to provide any additional information or undergo any verification process you deem necessary. I sincerely hope this decision can be reconsidered, as Steam and my games represent a significant part of both my time and financial investment. I also want to emphasize that I have spent money on this game because I enjoy it — logically, I would never risk that by using cheats. I have never used them in my life.

I regularly play official matches, including on the FACEIT platform, and I request that this ban be lifted. If not, I will be forced to escalate this matter to an international court, as I did not commit any violations that would justify this action.

Additionally, I would like to point out that I had not played the game for over 9 days, and yet the ban was applied on September 7th. How is that possible? Why are cheaters not banned, while honest players are penalized instead? I have attached evidence files below and ask you once again to lift the ban, as I believe it was issued in error. Please let me know what other materials I can provide — I will be happy to assist in any way I can.

Thank you for your time and understanding. I sincerely hope for a fair resolution to this situation.

Sincerely,
b1os

I am sorry to say, but no one relevant to your ban will read this here on the Steam Community forums

Cheating is not the only thing games bans are issued for. Nothing you say will get the ban removed.

Bans are also delayed so the last time you played doesn’t matter.

The only thing you worthless legal threat does is make people laugh.

Make a new account if you want to play again.

If you really cared, you wouldn't use an LLM to write some slop appeal...

The VAC Ban Discussion Forum gets flooded with complaints about being banned 24/7 week for week, month for month, year for year.

Which means cheaters DO get banned.

Valve / Steam WILL NOT see your off topic rant.

This is a Steam related sub-forum, to discuss using the steam online Services.

There are no valve / steam employees or staff, server techs, steam support, or moderators in this steam related sub-forum. No one in this USER - USER only sub-forum can help you.

1) You don't have a VAC ban.

2) No one from Steam who has the ability to do anything about your ban will read this.

3) ChatGP has never got a ban removed.

4) Cheating isn't the only way to earn a game ban.

5) Your history is irrelevant. Your account was caught violating the game's rules, therefore your account is banned.

6) The ban is permanent.

7) Bans are delayed so what you were doing at the time the ban came down isn't relevant.

VAC is given for known cheats or modifying protected files. :smokeybear:
You…don’t have a VAC ban. You have A BAN-the name of the game you have a ban for is not showing on my end, but this is not the place to post about it. You most likely need to contact the developer of whatever game you were banned from via their support and submit a ban appeal.

Their answer will probably be “no,” unless their system made an obvious false flag.

TL;DR: These are the Steam forums, it is highly unlikely that anyone here is a dev for the game you got a ban in. Contact support for that game instead.

Also, some advice: threatening legal action over a ban is not going to help your case-it will probably do the opposite.

Wrong. It's a CS2 ban. Valve is the developer, thus, permanent.

Counter-Strike 2 game bans are permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed by Steam Support.

Can I appeal my game ban?
No. Game bans cannot be appealed and are not removed from accounts.

If you didn't want to be banned. Then why did you go and cheat?

CS2 bans are permanent.

Bans are delayed so the cheat developer cannot know which cheat it applied to.

The VAC forum is full of those who claim they did not cheat.
