Family purchased a gift card - doesnt show
Seriously never again with steam. Thought be a good idea for daughter to get me a fathers day present for a $100 steam voucher. She did it online, puit in my email, no email to me, no record of the purchase on her account. Now of course we have to chase it up to try and get it resolved. Never again. Ridiculous.

The only way you can buy gift cards on Steam is buying a "Steam Digital Gift" card on the store.
Those have to be paid for with an external payment method (no wallet funds) and then its automatically send to a user you select from your Steam friendlist.
At no point do you enter a email or choose an email adress to send the gift card to.
If your daughter bought a gift card and had to enter a email adress she most likely bought it outside of Steam on a unauthorized reseller site.
Thats just asking to be scammed. Also has nothing to do with Steam.

Well it from the steam website after I sent her a direct link from my steam account to purchase a digital gift card. We have an invoice email from steam to her so will chase up. Just ridiculous that we have to chase it up. should have just bought a card from a store.
