Graphical glitches / artefacts in Anno 117 and modern games in general
This might not be really connected to Anno 117, because I can see those glitches / artefacts in other modern games as well.

Do you also have this kind of shimmering / film grain at clouds, fog of war, visible also in grass when it moves? Is it some new ugly rendering technique in modern games or is it maybe my individual issue I have. I think, I have started noticing those glitches after I purchased an AMD Radeon card (6900 XT).

Have you opened up AMD Adrenaline and tried disabling Fluid Motion Frames, Super Resolution, and other AI Generated frame ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? I know in a lot of games I have those cause weird artifacting while moving.

I guess, AMD drivers are automatically updated. I normally try to disable all the crap in the AMD software, or at least test i on the fly. I have not done in Anno, but in the other games. Though those artifacts remain..
I did a quick Google search for "radeon 6900xt film grain" and I got various Reddit topics hits.

Some indeed mention changing settings, something with Super resolution).

One trhead I found for reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/s178kz/grainy_shadowstextures_6900xt/

Thank you, it did not fix my issue, but the super resolution is very interesting feature :-)
