Help with getting a refund
I purchased a $10 gift for my friend (Don't Starve) and he was not able to get the gift. (Steam didn't work when he clicked the link to get his gift).. He got impatient and purchased the game himself. So I went to get a refund from steam and they wouldn't give it. It looks like they aren't even reading what I am saying. Any suggestions? Yes my bank was charged and his bank was charged so we were charged twice for the same game.

Your friend needs to refund it and then accept the gift.

Keep contacting the Steam support until you get a real person

Send in a manual refund request.

Support --> Purchase --> Select game purchase --> I have a question

If a gift isn't accepted, it is automatically refunded after 30 days

thank you for the replies.. my friend instead sent in a refund request on my behalf and I got the refund.
