I crave games that aren't on the Steam store but I feel should be.

You probably won't like it, but I've always liked Blade Runner.
It's won all sorts of awards, though, so it's probably good, regardless of what others think. But it's a very slow game, with a lot of reading and listening involved. And you have to be in the right mindset to enjoy that.
