I have just posted the comment "Steam" on a random youtube video. I'll keep an eye on it, but I doubt anything will happen.

Words being deleted doesn't necessarily mean that they are banned Words.

I tried this. I posted the words "I love Steam" on YT and the comment is still there.

is it? youtube is notorious for shadow banning comments so it will show for you but nobody else, try opening incognito mode and finding your comment.

Are you sure that it is Youtube, not the content creators? I mean is the whole comment removed or just the word? Content creators can delete comments.

Youtube is the champion in auto-deleting everything. You can write something completely harmless and it gets removed, because their auto-deletion thinks it is questionable, even if it makes no sense.
The word Steam is not banned, but I guess somehow the context you wrote was rated as bad, because youtube really has a really bad auto-detection.
