I can only rarely access my wishlist.
Me and many of my friends are having the same issue and it is getting on our nerves as this seem to be typical on steam.
Whenever we want to go on our wishlist it says :" Sorry!
An error was encountered while processing your request:

The specified profile could not be found.
"

When is Valve planning to fix this?
Is there a workaround?

This has been going on for a very long time on and off.

No idea really. I had this 3 weeks ago for 1 oder 2 days only. Since then it works pretty good

70% of time I am having this issue.
There is no point in having a wishlist, if for example during sales, I can't access it.... Valve needs to fix their ♥♥♥♥.
I just googled online and many forums are filled with complaints about this issue, many complaints are even from years ago. Apparently its on their server side.

I mean, its cool that everyone here seems to be sharing with me, that it does not happen to them, but how does this solve my problem? This is clearly a common issue, despite not everyone being affected by it and it does not contribute to any solution either...Seems like on Steam, everyone feels the need to constantly share just noise.

Support only told me basic stuff, like " empty download cache " which obviously did not help.
Yeah, I came here....to find a solution. Hopefully someone who can help will respond.

Did you try this:

Steam -> Settings -> In Game -> Delete Web browser Data

the point is if this was on valve's end, everyone would have it

you're waiting for them to fix something that isn't on their end

The Steam wishlist error isn't hitting everyone, but that doesn't mean it's not Valve's problem; bugs often hit specific users due to server or account issues. Saying it's "not on their end" is clueless and ignores basic software troubleshooting.

I mean our claim that "if it was Valve's issue, everyone would have it" is nonsense; bugs often hit specific users due to server, cache, or account issues, not just user-end problems.

As a cybersecurity specialist drowning in troubleshooting, I can only cringe at how cluelessly you dismiss a real issue with that logic.

PS: Now I know, why you are sitting on my "blacklist". This explains it all.

Yes of course.

go to edit profile and change your custom url
Possibily we need more info. What country are you trying to buy from? What games are you trying to buy? This lack of information is actually hurting your case. The more information you provide, the better help you will get for your friends and yourself OP.

Or you could try a steam config flush. It resets all the steam stuff, but be aware, you will need to re-enter your account name and password. Account name is different from profile name.

NOTE: I see your profile says you live in germany? What specific games are you trying to buy? They maybe region restricted depending on what type of games you are purchasing. Since your lacking information on the specific games, we can only guess your trying to buy games that are blocked in germany.
