Can’t upload artwork to my profile for over a month — still broken
I’ve been unable to upload any artwork to my Steam profile for over a month now. Every time I try, I get the same error:
“There was a problem processing your request.”

I’ve already submitted support tickets, and they confirmed there’s nothing wrong with my account. They “refreshed” it, escalated it, and had me try different browsers, networks, VPNs, formats, file sizes — literally everything. It still doesn’t work.

Support eventually told me there’s no fix at the moment and that it might be addressed in a future Steam update. But this has been broken for weeks.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Or has anyone had this issue before and managed to fix it?

It’s just one small profile feature, but it’s been weirdly stressful to deal with. I just want to use it like normal again 😭

I wanted to submit artwork without a title but the "blank" character I was using didn't work. I ended up using a different one and it worked. Same artwork. Could it be a character/symbol you are trying to use in the title?

yeah i thought of that too! but i've already tried using super simple titles like “hi” or “lol” but i still get the same error. i appreciate the idea though, im glad it worked for you at least:fraixmas:

yeah this is a steam-side bug, nothing wrong with your account
a lot of people have the same issue, especially with artwork uploads
support already said it needs a future update, so there’s no real fix right now
best you can do is wait, or try uploading with a super simple title + small file size, sometimes it randomly works
