People send out random friend requests. It happens. If you don't want them to be your friends, block them and move on.

Not at all. They might have seen you post on the board for a game they like, you might be a friend of a friend, who knows. It's only rude if they keep bothering you after you've turned down a request, but if that's the case, block them and move on.

I don't think it's rude, especially if you have a private profile, which does not allow the person asking to post on your profile, the reason for their request. How else are they supposed to contact you?

I dont have an issue with that. You can always ignore or block them. Did you even read my post and consider that they have no options if your profile is private?

Well, most people have their own rules regarding random friend requests. For example, i dont accept friend requests from hidden profiles. Also it depends if i know the person somehow , if we had an exchange in some thread or if we have groups and/or friends in common.
If not, most of the time i decline the request. But in my case its mostly because i own a lot of games and most of the time those users just add me to beg for games or cards.
Not all, but a lot. So i try to filter those out in advance.

Steam is a social game network and if you don't want to add them then you do not need to.

Cancel the trade and move on.

How you got invited? A user invited you, you are answering that yourself. It's nothing you can do about it rly. You have to ingore the request, block them or accept. Also if you accept and the user is unfriendly or something, you can always remove and block them later.

sometimes peoples adds u but they might be scammers, don't trade with them and don't enter community servers that they want u to go because sometimes they download something and that download gets your skins or account information from you.... Beware!

for real ppl should stop talking nonsense if you dont know the answer, my steam profil is private and i keep receiving notifications of ppls who just add me to there friend list, but i dnt receive any invite or accept or block its just say someone just add you to their friend list.
