"You've made too many requests recently." The answer is obvious. The solution is to be patient. You are writing too many requests to the server.

You probably triggered a cooldown for doing too many things in a short time. Just leave it and come back to it later.

It's been hours for me already. And right now I can't even view other's inventories.

Then it's probably serverside or something between you and the server acting up. Not much you can do but to wait a bit.

Otherwise you can always contact support in case it's account related. But, given that you cannot see inventories AT ALL I aint so sure of that.

this restriction is per IP, so any form of shared internet connection is very likely to trigger it faster.

of course, scripts/browser addons also contribute to exceeding the limit because they might do things you dont requests you dont necessarily notice.

f.e. Augmented Steam does 2-3 additional requests every time you click a marketable item

the restriction is not short, it might even be longer than 2 days.

solution: change IP if you wanna use it earlier.
how to change IP??

Yeah this is happening to me I don’t know why, has been like this everyday from 5-like sometime in the middle of the night every week

I wonder if it might be something with extensions and I’m jut using to many.
The same problem started happening to me 3 days ago, when chrome updated to its latest version.

Same here, can't check steam market, steam support couldn't help.

"You've made too many requests recently. Please wait and try your request again later."

I tried:

:csgostar: Mozilla browser, with or without add-ons
:csgostar: Clear all browser data, cookies, cache...
:csgostar: Wifi (regular wifi or wifi+)
:csgostar: Ethernet (switching from Wifi and back helped)
:csgostar: CMD console ipconfig/release - renew - flushdns...

My last resort, using mobile internet connection hotspot with laptop. (I got the same message error after using mobile connection for a while) :clown_ooo:

The problem is because steam servers are so overloaded with requests due to halloween event and they decided to temporarily decrease the amount of requests per ip.

Is this checked or is it an assumption?

Some say it's dota event. Some say it's halloween event.

Neither of which are true.

In the past there had been larger dota and csgo events and sales, and I didn't get any problems with the market.

Prior to 5 days ago, AugmentedSteam worked perfectly, regardless of how heavily I used it.

From 5 days ago to now (just tried it again), AugmentedSteam blocks market lookups after a mere 6 consecutive inventory->market listings, producing a "429 Too Many Requests" in the browser console. I've had it last for more than 6 hours, or until I've changed IP.

Whether it was deliberate or accidental, the permissible request rate WAS reduced some 5 days ago, and it has clobbered a number of Chrome market addons.

Should this be deliberate and permanent, then each addon's developer will need to code in appropriate delays or cooldowns to prevent it.
