IL-2 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe gift download

May 9,2025 was the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory "in Europe ". IL-2 Sturmovik generously gave away a free upgrade for 48 hours. I did so accept , registered along with password and confirmation that I successfully got the gift within the 48 hour period and it is in the IL-2 records and was downloading and merging with the prerequisite Battle of Stalingrad.

But as me and computers NEVER can work without several snags and resistance , I didn't have enough disc space.
I since added PLENTY of disc space , but alas a few months later can't find the IL-2 gift page anywhere .
Checked my history , it stops at June ,7. IL-2 website , bogged down in FAQ go nowhere quagmire.

About to check Recycle bin , but pretty sure it's been wiped.
Any suggestions ? Or am I stuffed ?
Thanks , another just above poverty line soul , who is a vintage aircraft freak who would love free upgrade who should be working instead of gaming.

Duuuuh , it was in some "downloads " file' I opened it , it went back online ,IL-2 recognized my download and it seems to continue to download as if nothing happened though it sat inactive for months. Helpful hint : The solution is usually simple , finding the source of the problem is the hard part and is usually where we DON'T want to look. this applies to computers , cars , appliances and mental health and just about everything in life . Have a nice day.
