Scam?

Hi guys I hope you all doing well there is a girl that add me and say that I scammed her by buying an item and didn't give her money i don't even buy those items she showed me a picture that shows my account that I have buy from her is she trying to scam me or someone stole my identity and scam people idk anymore she said I reported me and I will be banned i didn't do anything wrong she keep trying to to make me contact some steam moderator and I refuse because I don't trust that link she send

Don't do that. Naming & Shaming is not allowed.

Scammers often use hijacked accounts anyway.

Report, block and move on.

Scammers use either throw-away accounts or hijacked accounts that were stolen from other users.

The scammer will simply use another account with a different name tomorrow.

If the scammer used your account to scam other people, would you want Steam Support to "end" your account?

If that hurts some people then yes I don't want anyone to be scammed also i will report that my account is hacked so steam can be awere of that

Valve (Steam) is already aware of that scam.

There already is an official support article about this scam. Check out the first link in post #1.

Report the account that has added you and move on.

Same thing happened to me years ago it is a scam.
Also most of the scammers are using this method just block her.
And Steam moderators would never reach you for Steam chats or Discord.
