what happens when you click on the game, does it just hang?

it doesn't start, as if we never clicked on "play". I love this game, I started playing when i was 10 years old, and i wanted to install it on my PC to play online. Thank you for trying to help me, i really appreciate it : )

I had a similar issue with this game on Windows 11. What worked for me was installing the DirectX and Visual C++ redistributables that come with the game (you can usually find them in the game’s installation folder under a “redist” or “commonredist” folder). Also, try running the game as administrator and in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or 8. Some players also mentioned that disabling overlays (like Steam overlay, GeForce Experience, or Discord overlay) helped. If none of that works, you can also check the game’s forum on Steam — there are quite a few threads about launch issues with Alien vs Predator.
