Issue with Inventory and Trading Sections - Too Many Requests Error
Hello Steam Support,

I have been unable to access the Inventory and Trading sections of my account for over 15-20 days due to the following error:

"Sorry! An error occurred while processing your request: You have sent too many requests. Please try again later."

I have already tried multiple troubleshooting steps such as:

- Waiting for several hours and trying again
- Clearing browser cache and cookies
- Disconnecting from VPN
- Restarting my router
- Switching between different networks (Wi-Fi and mobile data)

I believe this issue is caused by CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT), as my ISP assigns a shared IPv4 address to multiple users, which results in Steam detecting excessive requests from the same IP.

Could you please assist me in whitelisting my account or IP address, or suggest any other possible solution? This issue is preventing me from using the marketplace and trading features.

Thank you for your assistance.

You hit an API quota limit. This quota limit is IPv4 based. If restarting your router doesn't help, you'll have to wait it out.

IPv4 addresses are not unique anymore. As there are more humans (8 billion) than IPv4 addresses (4.2 billion), ISPs have chosen to route users together on an identical IPv4 address. This technique is known as CGNAT.

For Valve's community market API this bundled together group of users looks like a single user.
