Unable to Link Mobile Number to Steam Account – No SMS Received
Hi, I'm Vijay. I'm new to Steam and I’m having trouble linking my mobile number to my account.

Here’s what I did:

Downloaded and logged into the Steam mobile app.

Enabled Steam Guard and entered the authentication code on my PC.

Verified my email successfully.

Entered my mobile number to link it with my account.

The problem is that I haven’t received any SMS verification code. I’ve retried several times, but now I’m getting a message saying, “Please try using a different number.”

Could someone from the support team please help me resolve this issue or suggest what I should do next?

I'm having this same issue so I hope we get an answer to this.

Here's my situation:
I just switched phones and was trying to transfer 'steam guard' however, I'm not receiving my verification code so I decided to remove my phone number and tried adding it again. Now, my issue is that I couldn't add my phone number back because this s2pd app won't send me the verification code. And I even had to wait for 1 week just to try it again since it told me that I've tried multiple times.

I'm getting so frustrated. :steamthumbsdown:. .
