steam quit unexpectedly
Hi everyone !

I have an issue playing games on my Mac right now. I've bought Hades and played for 30 minutes before the game closed in my face with the following message "Steam quit unexpectedly". Now, I cannot play any game in my library without my game shutting down within minutes.

I've looked at previous conversation on this subject and I followed every solution suggested. I've restarted my Mac, I've looked for system and Steam update, I've done a scanned with Malwarebytes (no virus, nothing) and I've uninstall and reinstall Steam, but yet games still shut in my face. Keep in my mind my Macbook is a Mac Pro 2021 M1 16 RAM, 8 core CPU, 14 core GPU ... don't think it's because my Mac can't run these games.

so yeah, help me please :( !

I think I found the issue, but I have no idea how to fix it. The problem is caused by the PS4 DUALSHOCK wireless controller. When I start a game without it, it starts normally and I can play. However, the moment I try connecting the controller (either by USB cable or bluetooth), Steam just quit.

Hello!
Is Steam crashing for you too on mac, while disconnecting DualShock controller from Bluetooth?

Whenever I play my games using a Dualshock 4 controller, after gaming, when I try to disconnect it from bluetooth settings, it also closes/crashes the Steam Client as well. Every single time.

Also what macOS version do you use?

Hi ! Yes, the same thing happens to me. Bluetooth or USB, once the DS controller gets disconnected, it crashes Steam and the game I am playing, which is pretty frustrating. Now, I just make sure that my controller won't discharge while playing, because I can't seem to have any solution for it.

As for my macOS, it's Ventura 13.0.1.

Guys! I do found sth that can fix the problem on me(Mac with Apple silicon)
Try to use Terminal and enter"sudo softwareupdate --install-rosetta" and don't enter the quotation mark.
Terminal might want you to enter password, you probably can't see what you type on the screen, just type it on your keyboard and click enter on your keyboard, your Mac will reinstall Rosetta, then you can restart steam app.UwU
