Unable to open game tools with batch files
I fixed my Portal mod up and now I'm having issues opening Hammer, HLMV, and Faceposer correctly. Whenever I open the batch files it says that
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\cc is unexpected at this time.
I can open up the exe files just fine except I get the message in Hammer
Invalid game "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\sourcemods\cc" found in VPROJECT enviroment variable, ignoring.
Hammer works fine when it is configured to my mod I just can't compile it correctly with an error somewhat around "Windows doesn't have access to this directory" or something like that.
I've been working on this mod for two years and so a slowdown like this is annoying.

I really should stop posting these too soon because I got an answer from reepblue on Facepunch. It's not an issue of folder control but rather this is his solution:

Did you edit the "GameDir" string of GameConfig? Make it read Portal, and then in the portal gameinfo file add anywhere under "search path":

game "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\mymod"
It seems when the tools are linked outside of the common folder, hammer and tools have a real hissy fit. Tricking the tools to read a "common game" then linking the game to read your mod will work.

HOWEVER! you must port your script manifests files over to the main game or the custom folder!! Not doing this will make it so you can't load your custom sound scripts!
