Half-Life Not Appearing as a Game

So I've been downloading all of the mods for Half-Life to be able to run servers for them, which is working, but for whatever reason the normal Half-Life: Deathmatch game does not appear as an option. Even after doing a plain--
app_update 90
--the game doesn't appear. I've tried logging in anonymously and I've tried logging in officially, but nothing I can tell seems to be solving the problem. All the other GoldSrc games (CS, DoD, DMC, etc.) all work fine, Half-Life just doesn't appear.

Anyone know a fix?

Care to elaborate? I don't understand what you mean. I'm using SteamCMD, not the Steam client.

SteamCMD is just the backbones of Steam, use your copy of Half-Life installed in the Steam Client.

SteamCMD is just the backbones of Steam, use your copy of Half-Life installed in the Steam Client.

Use how? I'm not trying to play Half-Life, I'm trying to get the HLDS to work with the original Half-Life multiplayer servers.

If you mean that I should click "create server" in the actual Half-Life game, I'm trying to use the HLDS, which is why I'm in the HLDS forum.

You can try to download using steam tools, hlds is broken on steam, theres a glitch on the app_manifest, you cant download unless you change some files in the middle of the process..

Its for linux, but the theory is the same (broken on steamcmd)
