Highly unlikely, though the average human may eventually become so dumb and socially "conditioned" as to be functionally indistinguishable from a zombie. If it did happen, though, I'd get my backpack and fishing vest loaded with as much useful gear as possible and head for the mountains.

I think he's talking about those bacteria growing things. I think America makes some of those.

Ah, I see. Still, either interpretation is pretty accurate.

Scientifically, no. A zombie apocolypse cannot happen due to 2 things. 1. Diseases and how they evolve. So far, we haven't seen any viruses or any other antigen which cause people to go mad and bite other people, and we probably never will see any like that for a LONG time. 2. The way the human body works is very outstanding. Say for example, that there WAS a zombie apocolypse. The virus cannot kill the host and then revive them in a 'zombified' state, it is not possible to do that. The virus/parasite/bacteria/whateverdisease dies shortly after the host dies. I've looked around and some sources indicated that diseases can live outside/without a host for 6-8 hours. This is a fairly short amount of time, also limiting out transmission of this so called 'virus'

this is unlikely but their is already a zombie diseace i south amereica for ants that is created by a fungies...if this fungies evolves to affect humans it will happen and if not were safe..and the zombie disease never actually kills you it justs takes over your nevers and brain so that your mind may die but the disease now has control of your body and spreads it through its bits

and knowing the governments have made disease their may already be a zombie disease locked away and hidden from the public and most of the government

I believe it's highly unlikely, but you never know what the future holds.
As for what I'd do if an apocalypse did happen, I would run as fast and far as possible. I live in England so unfortunately we have no guns to protect ourselves with.
LightKeeper 17 Nov, 2012 @ 5:25pm
I'd kill myself.

Modern science cannot create it though, and there is no proof to support that labs are trying to.
