This really sucks for me
So, a while back my graphic card(video card driver) broke and now i replaced it with a very old one and i cant play any graphical games whatsoever. Does anyone know any free games that has the worst graphics in history, but it's still fun?

Tell us what model number your current video card is and maybe you could play some of the more advanced games at low resolution, etc.

It says something like "VgaSave"
DarkCrystalMethod 27 Oct, 2012 @ 7:48pm
VgaSave is the default Windows provided driver for generic video cards.
Steam's main window has a menu item that will tell you what Steam thinks it is... click on Help, then System Information.
If that is inconclusive try looking at it in Device Manager, DxDiag, or even.... turn off your computer and pull the card and read it.

Okay it says this: the name of it is vga.dll and it was dated on June 21, 2006, and version 6.1.7600.16385

Sounds like it's reverted to the default graphics driver.
If your computer is running a version of Windows then it should have a utility called DirectX already installed. To run this utility:

Step 1
A) For Windows XP
Click Start, run, and type: dxdiag and press enter.

OR

B) Windows 7 (should be similar for Vista)
Click Start, type dxdiag in the search box and press enter.

Step 2
When the utility starts click the Display tab and under name it should say either Nvidia or ATI or ATI/AMD followed by the model #, below that should be the manufacturers name.

A) If it's Nvidia go here:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Select option 2 Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products.

B) If it's ATI or AMD go here:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

On the right hand side click the link below "Automatically Detect and Install"

C) If A or B doesn't work then Google the manufacturers website and select Support or Drivers and find the model # that corresponds with your graphics card and download the display driver from there.

If your on a Apple computer running any version of Mac OS then your S.O.L....jk take it to a genius bar.
