Religious beliefs are a sin.

Yes, It would be nice to have a moderator.
Ouch, I kind of don't want to touch that subject. So much to say but it will lead to a full scale war. I guess this is the best time to take some advice on Internet censorship. I am doing a report on censorship on the global Web. I can see the benefits in censorship can produce. However, censorship on the web is almost .. (lets say "funny") I guess this topic will lead the same path as religious ;however, due to the subject at hand. People won't feel compelled to start a forum war.
i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

For censorship: Harmful to kid
Obscene

Against censorship: Free Exchange of Ideas

I must say I fully agree with your analysis. The current forum structure inevitably mixes diverse content, making it difficult to distinguish discussions of genuine interest from purely recreational or low-substance threads.

Introducing an additional category dedicated to “serious” general discussion, with slightly stricter moderation, would represent a significant improvement. It would allow contributions that, while not directly related to video games, could foster higher-quality dialogue and engage users with broader interests.

In a large and varied context like Steam, recognizing and facilitating this diversity of interests would signal a genuine commitment to the community and its qualitative growth.

I am therefore convinced that your proposal deserves serious consideration.

There will be at least 10 new sections then, which means an increase in the moderator staff.
No one will assign moderators to the new sections from active players; that would mean reworking the forum engine. The programmers are already struggling; a new error, a bug, has appeared:
